Childbirth Education and Prenatal Childbirth
2009 Class Childbirth Education Classes for 2009 will be held at Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital on:

Classes are offered on Saturday's from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

These classes are taught by
Registered Nurses who are experienced in Obstetrical Nursing as well as
experienced mothers.

Education classes
prepare the expectant parents for a successful, healthy and enjoyable delivery
experience. We also discuss newborn care and care for mother after
delivery. Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital want you to have the best childbirth
experience possible.
Start by attending Prenatal Childbirth
Education classes in the 1st or 2nd trimester of pregnancy. This class focuses on prenatal
care, nutrition, exercise, breast feeding, bottle feeding and common discomforts
of pregnancy. These classes will get your pregnancy off on a good start.
Childbirth Education covers topics such as stages of labor, pain management, breathing
and relaxing techniques, postpartum care,
car seat safety, newborn care, immunizations, and a tour of our new Labor and Delivery Rooms.
